The National Capital Region Chapter's Emerging Green Builders (EGB) represent a coalition of students and young professionals intent on promoting the integration of future leaders into the green building movement.
Our efforts include active participation in the USGBC National Design Competition, where we proudly placed 1st in 2006. In addition, we also participate in local networking events to develop relationships with peers and colleagues throughout the National Capital Region. Other benefits include the opportunity to participate in the EGB's Forum during the USGBC Greenbuild conference and expo and to receive newsletters with all the latest information for Emerging Green Builders.
EGB Mission: To build a network of students and young professionals advocating environmental awareness and sustainable development in and around the DC region, community & building industry.
Who Can Join: Anyone interested in becoming more involved in green building from any discipline or practice is welcome to participate in EGB. Largely we are comprised of students and young professionals, but EGB also welcomes seasoned professionals who are new to the green building industry.
The Benefits: The Emerging Green Builders coordinate and host a variety of building tours, lectures and social events.
Join Us: If you are a young professional or a student studying green building, consider joining the National Capital Region Chapter as an Emerging Green Builder. EGB membership is only $25 annually and you can join by clicking Join Now. Get involved today!
