Awards of Excellence for 2010

The NCR Chapter's Awards Committee has launched its 2010 Call for Entries. This year, the Awards Committee will recognize excellence in three main categories: Project of the Year, Member Firm of the Year and NCR Chapter Member of the Year.
The Awards of Excellence recognize outstanding examples of sustainable development, high-performance facilities, environmental stewardship in the National Capital Region and community impact. NCR Project of the Year: * All projects certified by an official version of the LEED Rating System and located within the National Capital Region territory (Northern Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Montgomery and Prince Georges counties in Maryland). * Projects must have been awards LEED Certification between June 15, 2009 and June 18, 2010. * Projects will be judged on excellence in green building, design and construction and overall community impact. NCR Member Firm of the Year: * Any USGBC Member firm with an office in the NCR territory is eligible for nomination * Nominees will be judged on corporate leadership in energy and environmental stewardship through internal policies and initiatives. NCR Chapter Member of the Year: * All USGBC - NCR chapter members are eligible. You can nominate yourself. * Nominees will be judged on their overall contribution and leadership in the green building community. Deadline for all entries is Friday, June 18, 2010.
