Green Tie Affair Ushers in Holiday Season
by Tom Mawson, Executive Director
The biggest event of the year in the sustainable design and build community is "Green Tie Affair." This year's event took place at the Lafayette Tower, in Washington, DC, on December 9. Lafayette Tower is a LEED-Platinum Core and Shell project managed by Louis Dreyfus Properties.
Nearly 500 professionals in the green building design and construction, development, real estate, interior design and finance communities came together for an evening of networking, good food and beverages.
Green Tie Affair is an event jointly sponsored and planned by the AIA-Committee on the Environment, DC chapter, the DC chapter of International Interior Design Association and the National Capital Region chapter of USGBC.
The event was made possible by the generous financial support of EMO Energy Solutions, Louis
Dreyfus Property Group, Seyfarth and Shaw, Beyer Blinder Belle Architects, Marion Construction, James G. Davis Construction and Illumination Society of America.
