Chapter Seeks New Board Members

by Tom Mawson, Executive Director

If you want to make a difference in the sustainable design community here in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, now is your chance. If you have specific skills or contacts which can help support the mission of the USGBC National Capital Region Chapter, we want to hear from you.

To be considered for a Chapter Board of Directors position, you must simply be a member in good standing of the chapter. Please complete and email the attached application expressing your interest before October 23, 2009. Also include a personal resume and a brief statement explaining why you would like to be considered as a candidate for a position on the Board of Directors.

The Chapter Nominating Committee will contact all eligible candidates for a short phone interview. The Nominating Committee will then recommend to the general membership a slate of candidates representing the variety of USGBC membership categories as well as our diverse geographic region. There are currently six positions available. Board members are elected by the chapter members in November to serve a 2-year term beginning on January 1, 2010.

To receive a Board Application Form with specific requirements, please email: info@usgbcncr.org.
