Members Elect Six to NCR Board

The election is over. That is, the "other" election for the NCR chapter board of directors. Members of the chapter elected six individuals to join the board in 2009. Voting for members of the board closed on November 12. More than 240 votes were cast by NCR members during the election process.

Two individuals, Brian Gault, Director of Sustainable Development for the Peterson Companies, and Olivia Millar, Director of Sustainability and Workplace Strategies at Studley, were re-elected to serve a second two-year term on the board.

Joining them on the board, beginning in 2009, are:

Chris Gorthy, East Coast Sustainability Manager for DPR Construction in Falls Church, Virginia

Robert Phinney, Director of Sustainable Design at Wisnewski, Blair and Associates in Washington, DC

Tom Fisher, a Consultant with Sustainable Design Consulting in Washington, DC

Derek Gallardo, Co-Director of the DC Office aand Director of Sustainable Strategy at KTA Group in Washington, DC.

All of these individuals will begin their two-year terms in January, 2009. The NCR board will meet in Jannuary, 2009 to elect officers for the ccoming year and to select chairs for each of the chapter's committees.
