Vote Now for NCR Board Members

It's election season and you can vote today for members of the 2009-2010 NCR chapter Board of Directors. Full members of the chapter can vote until Wednesday, November 12.

All full members of the NCR are eligible to vote for candidates to serve on the board. This year sixteen members of the chapter expressed interest in serving on the board by submitting detailed applications. All candidates were contacted by members of the Nominating Committee. A total of six candidates will be elected to the board this year.

After reviewing all applications, the Nominating Committee recommends five individuals: Olivia Millar of Studley and Brian Gault of The Peterson Companies; both of these candidates are currently serving on the board. The Committee also recommends Chris Gorthy of DPR Construction, Tom Fisher of Sustainable Design Consulting and Robert Phinney of Wisnewski, Blair and Associates.

Members of the chapter may vote for up to three candidates each. To vote, go to: www.usgbc.org, click on Membership, then "Member Resources," and then, "Elections." Scroll down to "National Capital Region Board of Directors." Full members, i.e., chapter members employed with National Member companies, may enter the member code number and then submit their votes.
