Come tour the new Loudoun County Youth Shelter, which is pending LEED Gold certification. You'll hear from the architects and the Loudoun County Department of Construction and Waste Management about their collaboration process on this project. The presentation and tour will focus on the design strategies and sustainable building practices employed by the building design team and how these strategies were negotiated with the Loudoun County Department of Construction and Waste Management. Additionally, you will learn how the building addresses the five key areas of the LEED building standard and how the building strives to achieved LEED Gold on a tight budget.
