June Program to Focus on "Carbon"

The NCR chapter is trying to set the stage in this region to move toward carbon-neutral neighborhoods. This program is a major first step.

The evening begins with a networking reception sponsored in paert by McKenna, Long, Aldridge law firm from 6 - 6:30 pm.

Following a brief business meeting and chapter announcements, the program will begin at 6:40 pm.

Peter Gray, Partner at of McKenna Long and Aldridge, will update everyone on carbon ppolicy on Capitol Hill, and will describe efforts of ABA and ACORE.

Bjorn Fisher of the 3C Group will explain the scientific baselines from which to measure carbon; will describe the best baseline to use; and will describe carbon certification programs.

Our final speaker will cover the USGBC/Clinton Climate Initiative joint efforts and what is next for LEED in tracking carbon and how you can prepare for development.
