The NCR chapter of the USGBC is trying to set the stage in this region to move toward carbon neutral neighborhoods. We have a Renewables Program and an Urban Challenge program scheduled for this fall to prepare our members for the National GreenBuild conference in Boston in November 2008. We will take the conversations and recommendations that occur in our chapter programs and submit them to the DC Mayor's Advisory Board for the Green Building Act and also submit them to the Metro Washington Council of Governments.
