A leasing technique designed to address the 'split incentive' problem in retrofits, the Energy Aligned Clause was developed by an industry working group convened by the New York City Mayor's Office and is gaining traction in the green leasing industry. Paul Reale, Special Consultant for Urban Green Council (USGBC of New York), will present the concept, run through the nuances, and answer questions about the practice.
Paul will make the presentation twice during the second week in August in Washington, DC: once on Tuesday, August 7th (12-1pm) and again on Wednesday, August 8th (11am-12pm) at USGBC Headquarters (2101 L St. NW, 5th floor).
Real estate industry organizations, building owners, tenants, brokers, managers and agents are strongly encouraged to attend one of these two presentations.
