***THIS EVENT HAS MOVED TO SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH!*** Join the USGBC and the Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District on Sunday, October 30th from 12 pm to 3 pm for the first annual Capitol Riverfront Community Planting Day! Come help us plant thousands of daffodil bulbs in tree boxes and open spaces along M Street, SE to beautify the neighborhood in the spring. Bring your friends and family for an enjoyable morning of volunteering. Breakfast snacks and drinks provided. Location: Meet at the parking lot at M St and 2nd St SE. The lot is two blocks from Navy Yard Metro, New Jersey Ave Exit, and there is a Capitol Bikeshare station at M St and New Jersey Ave SE. Limited Parking Available On Site. **NOTE** Due to track maintenance on the Green Line on Sunday, October 30th, buses will replace trains between L'Enfant Plaza and Southern Avenue and four stations-Waterfront, Navy Yard, Anacostia, and Congress Heights.
