What's New with LEED 2009?
Topic: Tom will be discussing the new 2009 LEED Program. He'll be going over the changes to the LEED Accredited Professional Accreditation Process, as well as detailed information on changes to the LEED rating systems needed for project certification.
Speaker: Tom Mawson, CAE is the Executive Director of the USGBCâ??s National Capital Region Chapter. Tom has more than 30 years of experience in the management of not-for-profit organizations. He previously served in executive positions on the national staffs of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Disaster Recovery Institute International, and the Supply Chain Council.

Learn the Ins and Outs of LEED for Homes
Topic: Lee O'Neal will be discussing the LEED for Homes Rating System. LEED for Homes is a rating system that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. A green home uses less energy, water and natural resources; creates less waste; and is healthier and more comfortable for the occupants. Benefits of a LEED home include lower energy and water bills; reduced greenhouse gas emissions; and less exposure to mold, mildew and other indoor toxins.
Speaker: Lee O'Neal is the President of Green Sustainable Holdings, Inc. as well as Director of Energy & Green Programs for CGE Solutions, a home energy rating & building performance firm based in Ashburn, VA. Lee currently serves on the RESNET Quality Assurance and Ethics Committee, National Standards Energy Audit Committee and Drafting Sub-Committee, RESNET Sampling Standards Drafting Committee, Lee also serves on the Building Performance Institute (BPI) Technical committee, Quality Assurance and Ethics sub-committees.
